Crafted to emulate the rustic charm of traditional fieldstone, our field stone manufactured stone veneer emerges as a timeless option that seamlessly blends natural beauty with modern convenience, and offers homeowners the opportunity to infuse their living spaces with the timeless elegance of natural stone, without the logistical challenges and costs associated with traditional stone masonry.

Understanding stone veneer

Manufactured stone veneer is a lightweight, man-made product designed to mimic the appearance of natural stone. Utilizing molds cast from natural stone, manufacturers produce veneers that closely resemble the texture, color variations, and irregular shapes of their authentic counterparts.

Fieldstone

Field stone specifically captures the rugged allure of fieldstone - a type of natural stone renowned for its weathered appearance and irregular shapes. This stone veneer option typically features a blend of earthy tones, ranging from warm browns to cool grays, and is characterized by its irregular edges and varied surface textures, mirroring the organic beauty of natural fieldstone.

The versatility and aesthetic appeal of field stone manufactured stone veneer make it a popular choice for homeowners and designers seeking to enhance the visual appeal of their living spaces. Whether used to create a cozy fireplace surround, add texture to an exterior facade, or elevate the ambiance of an outdoor patio, this versatile veneer option brings warmth, character, and timeless elegance to any environment.

Advantages of stone veneer

1. Cost-effectiveness: Unlike natural stone, which often comes with hefty price tags and requires specialized installation techniques, manufactured stone veneer offers a cost-effective alternative without compromising on aesthetics.

2. Versatility: Stone veneer can be applied to a variety of surfaces, including exterior facades, fireplaces, accent walls, and even outdoor kitchens. Its lightweight nature makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, opening up a world of design possibilities.

3. Ease of installation: Stone veneer can be installed more efficiently compared to natural stone, reducing labor costs and project timelines.

4. Durability: Manufactured stone veneer is engineered to withstand the elements, making it a durable option for exterior applications. It is resistant to moisture, fading, and cracking, ensuring long-term performance and minimal maintenance requirements.

Hi Paula,

The majority of our stone profiles are individual stone and they are made of Portland cement. The individual stones will vary in size, shape, and thickness. To achieve the desired natural stone finish as shown in our images it is up to the installer to arrange the individual stones in the correct pattern and install each stone one at a time. We call this out on our website in several places, but it can be missed. As stone veneer is made out of Portland cement, manufacturing it in sheets/panels is just not reasonable as the weight of the finished product would make it very difficult for the end user to install/work with, therefore the majority of manufactured stone veneer available in the market today will be individual stones.

On each product page there is a section to the right of the images and below the product overview titled “dimensions”, if you expand that section you can see the flats and corner dimensions for every product we sell.

Corners are not required but they offer a professional finish by wrapping perfectly around a 90 degree outside corner. If you decide to use corners you will need to calculate the lineal feet required by simply measuring the height of all outside corners as our corners are sold by the lineal foot.

On each product page there are options for both flats and corners (to the right of the main product image).

Outside corners are different from inside corners. For inside corners, our flats are used. Simply run a flat piece into the corner and then a flat piece on the adjacent side.

Please feel free to email us the dimensions of your project at info@blackbearmountainstone.com and we can help you estimate the number of corners and flats you will need to complete your project.

Our stone veneer does not come with a top ledge piece; however, we offer this as an accessory. Please see https://blackbearmountainstone.com/products/sill.

Please feel free to email us at info@blackbearmountainstone.com and we can provide you a shipping quote for Alaska.

Please let us know if you have any more questions!

Black Bear Mountain Stone

Hi wondering if this product comes in panels or just in stone and are these light weight or heavy and how easy are they to work with and what about corners and ledges to finish and do you work with any one in Alaska?
