A classic hand chiseled stone with a distinctive embedded rough texture precisely designed to mimic quarried and cut lime stone. Black Bear Mountain Stone lime stone rustic is shaped for bold, traditional statements with clean contemporary lines. Its old-world appearance with rugged rectangular ashlar shapes lends itself to a wide variety of architectural styles adding elegance to any residential or commercial application. Also known as rough cut or Austin stone. Lime stone is a stone veneer product measuring 1.5" to 2.5" thick and therefore thinner than traditional stone siding for easier, lighter handling. All our manufactured stone veneer products are suitable for interior applications such as stone accent walls or stone fireplaces as well as exterior applications such as stone veneer siding. Black Bear Mountain Stone lime stone is available in boxes of 10 square foot flats, boxes of 6 lineal foot matching corners, and 150 square foot bulk crates.

Each 10 square foot box weighs roughly 80-90lbs and corners weigh roughly 70-80lbs per box. Each 150 square foot bulk crate weighs roughly 1450lbs.

Materials

Black Bear Mountain Stone lime stone is produced by combining Portland cement, lightweight aggregate, and iron oxide mineral colors.

Minimum Order Details

All products have a minimum order quantity. Orders for less than the minimum order quantity will be cancelled. Lime stone has a minimum order quantity of 100 square feet.

Corners are add on items and cannot be sold and shipped independently of stone veneer flats. Orders for corners independent of stone veneer flats will be cancelled.

Accessories are add on items and cannot be sold and shipped independently of stone veneer flats. Orders for accessories independent of stone veneer flats will be cancelled.

Overage

We recommend ordering an additional 10–15% to account for waste from cuts, fitting adjustments, or potential breakage during installation and shipping.

Please note: All of our stone veneer is made to order. Manufacturing time is currently 4-6 weeks. You will receive an email with an estimated ready to ship date after your order has been placed.

Installation Instructions

Lime stone is an individual stone product and is installed piece by piece. The individual stones will vary in size, shape, and thickness. In order to achieve the desired natural stone finish as shown in our images it is up to the installer to arrange the individual stones in the correct pattern and install each stone one at a time. Flats were exactly what I was looking for, but the corners could have matched a little better. Overall, very pleased.

Unfortunately this can happen sometimes with the short side of our corners as there are several variables that go into coloring the corners. The coloring in our stone veneer is a surface coloring, however, it is mechanically bonded to our stone veneer and cured as one. We would be happy to send some coloring that can be mixed with water for touch ups at no charge.

Excellent stone that looks fantastic. Their process results in very realistic and precisely controlled colors. They remove bubbles from their stone which eliminates the pitting you see in competitors products. They also have a large number of molds so that you do not end up with multiple copies of the same rock next to each other on your house. Black Bear Mountain Stone is tough enough to allow pressure washing. If you check the specs on their competition, I think you will find that pressure washing will damage other stone. I highly recommend this stone for multiple reasons.

Color shown in photos not quite as dark in person, but we are still working on the install of this, that look might change once install is done and all the dust I washed off. Overall happy with the product so far. I have a lot of lime stone on my property, lime stone walls dug from my property line my driveway, and this is a close match to that which is the look we wanted. The mason we hired to do the exterior work for this product, found it easy to work with. Customer service was exceptional to work with and hired the appropriate vehicle to get down our narrow long driveway with the product to deliver it at our work site instead of dropping it off on the road curbside. Overall, I would do business with this site again, and I would buy this product for another job.

Our production facility is in Fair Play, South Carolina which is in the upstate of South Carolina, but we ship orders all over the country. All of our completed installation images are customer submitted and they are true to color, we do not enhance or manipulate our photos at all.   • Can you send me information on your recommendations on how to install this stone? What do you use to fasten it to a concrete wall and how you do the grout joints?

    Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Our installation instructions can be downloaded at https://blackbearmountainstone.com/pages/post-purchase-support. For the surface prep, which is the most important step, you will need to install a moisture barrier and then install wire lath over that. Make sure the nails or screws for wire lath hit studs to ensure a good foundation. Your scratch coat goes over the wire lath and then the stone veneer. We recommend our stone veneer and brick veneer be installed with Type S mortar. Mortar is recommended for installation opposed to an adhesive as mortar is cheaper than adhesive, and when installing with an adhesive you must hold the stone in place until the adhesive sets which really slows down installation time, whereas mortar instantly holds.
